Find an Expression for the Target
Mathler is a daily arithmetic puzzle where every guess must evaluate to a supplied target number. Normal mode uses six squares and gives six guesses. Green, yellow and gray tiles indicate correct placement, a character elsewhere in the expression, or a character not needed.
Difficulty Choices and Practice
Easy, Normal, Hard and Extreme provide different constraints, including parentheses in Hard and reduced feedback in Extreme. Practice mode and an archive offer additional puzzles. Standard order of operations applies. Compare the Nerdle introduction, where the hidden calculation includes its answer rather than starting from a known target.
