Keep your board moving
Wave Rider is a 3D endless surfing game in which the board moves forward automatically. Your task is to steer and jump around rocks, floating objects, trees, and other hazards while trying to travel farther. Speed increases as the run continues, making the route harder to follow.
The game may suit players who enjoy reaction-based score challenges with a choice of paths through the obstacles. Seashells along the route provide another target, though collecting them means balancing rewards against the risk of a collision.
Steer, jump, and manage damage
The Wave Rider instructions list A, W, D, or the arrow keys for jumping and steering left or right. Normal and Hard modes offer different starting speeds, with fewer power-ups in Hard mode.
Side collisions can damage a board, and a wrench pickup repairs it. A direct collision ends the run. Other pickups include a shield, a magnet for nearby seashells, a score multiplier, and a temporary slowdown.
Seashells and longer-term goals
Collected seashells unlock additional surfboards and jet skis with different stats. Daily missions and achievements offer further seashell rewards, while leaderboards provide daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time targets. These systems give repeat attempts a purpose beyond improving the distance of a single ride.
